UNDP’s Youth Empowerment Programme together with Youth Co: Lab, an initiative by UNDP and Citi Foundation, in collaboration with SheLovesTech by CIRCLE Women, is providing training to young women on the basics of coding and how to make money while learning to code. These skills can be used remotely and enable young women to provide services online in order to earn a living from the comfort of their homes.

With the IT industry evolving each day, programming languages are becoming the base for countless applications, skillsets, and opportunities. With the right code, you can build the website of your choice, understand complex algorithms and enhance your understanding of computers.

The training will be divided into two sessions over three weeks (one session per weekend) from December 2020 – January 2021. During this period, candidates will be introduced to the building blocks of coding and learn concepts that would enable them to explore their interest in coding.

You don't need to be a programming expert for this training as long as you want to learn, we have got you covered. If a code on a screen makes you curious, and you wish to know what it all means - this training is perfect for you. Who knows, you may end up being the next Arfa Karim.
